Word “Value”

Sydney is told that the “value” of a word is determined by multiplying the letter-values of each letter in the word, and letter values are assigned such that A = 1, B = 2, C = 3, … , Y = 25, Z = 26.  Example:  the value of the word JULY = 63,000 because 10 x 21 x 12 x 25 = 63,000).

More Musical News!

SFJH just received some more exciting news!  Our Advanced orchestra was selected to perform in the State Jr. High Orchestra Festival in Salt Lake City on March 16.

Groups performing at this event were selected through an audition process and it is a great honor to be chosen for the festival.  Festival Orchestras will receive performance comments from the judges, a clinic with one of the judges, and a plaque.

It's going to be a lot of work to get ready for this festival.  Time to get practicing!
