Submitted by david.thacker on Tue, 09/12/2017 - 11:37
On September 11, Miss Dannelly's 7th grade Reading classes spent the day listening to guest speakers and reading faculty members memories and experiences from that infamous day 16 years ago. They compared and contrasted the various points of view different people had and discussed the impact that event has had on the world. Special thanks to all of the SFJHS faculty that contributed their stories and were willing to have them published for all to read. Also, a huge thanks to our guest speakers Ms. Holley, Mr. Mortensen, Mr. Waters, Mr. Palfreyman, and Mrs.

Today we celebrated the September Students of the Month! These are students who exemplify The Lobo Way by strengthening, learning, forgiving and accepting, and using their voice.

Students are nominated by teachers in every department. Students earning a Student of the Month recognition receive a certificate of recognition and a Lobo Lunch. All have the opportunity to introduce themselves, enjoy lunch with faculty and administration, and hang out in the Lobo Den playing ping pong, foosball, and other games.

Seventh-graders Find Studying Utah’s Geography Delicious!

Submitted by david.thacker on Fri, 09/08/2017 - 12:22

Mrs. Freeland's class has been learning about the 3 regions in Utah--The Great Basin Region, the Colorado Plateau Region and the Rocky Mountain Region.

The students were able to show their knowledge by making a region map of Utah using graham crackers, frosting, air heads, marshmallows and chocolate chips.  It made for a good and delicious review of Utah's Regions!
