Submitted by david.thacker on

SFJHS raised over $5,000 this year for Penny Wars. The money that was raised was donated to Nebo Credit Union's Warm the Souls Program.

The PE department won the department challenge and Mr. Geroli’s science class won for the overall class total.

Thank you all for your support!

Lady Lobos Basketball Game

Submitted by david.thacker on

On Thursday, December 10th the Spanish Fork Jr. High girls basketball team stepped out on the court for their second game of the year. We are super lucky that we get to play this year! The game was against our cross-town rival, Diamond Fork Jr. High. Our Lady Lobos sure played great out there. They made some great plays and definitely kept Diamond Fork on their toes! Our team made some awesome shots and we played some extraordinary defense too. We’re so thankful to have great coaches and players here at our school.

Successful Winter Coat Drive

Submitted by david.thacker on

Since this is the season for giving, the SFJH Student Council put on a winter clothes drive! Students brought in their extra winter clothes so we could donate them to Tabitha’s Way to help members of our community. Lots of people will get warm clothes this winter thanks to your efforts! We had a little competition between classes and Ms. Christensen’s second period class won! Congratulations! Thanks again for your generosity!

12 Days of Christmas Presents!!

You may be familiar with the Christmas song, The 12 Days of Christmas. The first few lines go like this:

On the first day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
A partridge in a pear tree.

On the second day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.

On the third day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.

What would you like to be your greatest accomplishment?

I would love to own and ride a champion reining horse. I love the sport and work hard at competing in reining, but I'm still not very good. However, it is a blast trying!

What is one thing you just can't resist?

I cannot resist anything to do with horses. I am a "junky" for sure. Oh and a Code Red Mountain Dew.

What would you like to be your greatest accomplishment?

I want people to remember me as a good person. I want to be the reason someone's day was better, not worse.

What is one thing you just can't resist?

I can't pass up a donut. If I am offered donuts, I will always eat one or two or maybe even 5! That's what I usually get myself for a treat when I go grocery shopping.

What would you like to be your greatest accomplishment?

I know this sounds cliché, but I want my kids to learn how to be good people who contribute to society, and who can love themselves and others.

What is one thing you just can't resist?

Fresh raspberries or strawberries.

What's the weirdest job you have ever had?

Answering phone calls at a mortuary.

You're hosting a dinner party. Who are the 3 people, living or dead, you would invite, and why?
