A couple weeks ago, the 4-H program at our school sponsored a service project.  The goal was to collect coats for Tabitha's Way.

Tabitha's Way is a local non-profit Christian thrift store looking to help the less fortunate. Tabitha's Way opened its doors in 2010.   Wendy Osborne got the inspiration for the store when reading Acts 9:36-42.  She felt it was important to open the store to help others in need. Osborne will only charge people $1.00 for a coat, but only if they can afford to pay. The $1 goes to help pay the rent for the building.

“Tabitha's Way hands out over 2.5 tons of canned goods and breads every month, and in August we handed out over 300 backpacks filled with school supplies to needy school children.  We also collect toys, books and small household items to give away freely,” Osborne told the Lobo Howl.

Osborne also plans on opening a soup kitchen in the southern part of Utah County. At the moment, Tabitha's Way is looking for winter items like: blankets, gloves, coats/jackets, hats and other winter things of that nature. Donations are greatly appreciated and help bless the lives of the community.

Winter’s cold is here and many people don’t have warm clothing.  Do you have a warm coat you’ve outgrown?  Consider donating it to Tabitha’s Way.  You’ll keep the cold away from someone in need and  experiences the warmth of service!
