It's that time of year again.  Park and Recreation Football is finally here!  So for those of you who are wondering about this year's 7th and 8th grade Park and Rec Football, this is your lucky day.

Seventh graders have 2 teams this year; Spanish Fork Dons, and Spanish Fork Cowboys.   The Dons are off to a good start with their record being 1-0, as of Wednesday, September 12.  I talked to one of the Dons offensive and defensive linemen, Britton Redd, and he said he thinks his team is one of the best.  Their last game went well, giving them their first win of the season.  Unfortunately, it isn't the same for the Cowboys.

The Cowboys are off to rocky start with a record of 0-3 as of Wednesday, September 12.  This reporter had a discussion with center/ defensive tackles Tino Leilua, and even though they’ve lost the first few games, he still thinks that his team is one of the best.  He also thinks that his team can do better if the line blocks better.

The eighth grade has 2 teams this year; Spanish Fork Vikings, and the Spanish Fork 49ers.  The Vikings are starting off their season 1-1, and the 49ers are starting off at 0-3 as of Tuesday, September 11.

The Howl talked to Nathan Hansen, a tide/defensive end for the Vikings, and he thinks his team is one of the best in the league.  He also thinks his team can do better if they practice on their own, more specifically him.   He is willing to work harder.  He is having lots of fun, and he is glad he signed up.

This reporter had a chance to talk with 49er linebacker Sawyer Giles.  He doesn’t think his team is one of the best, but doubts that they are the worst.  He says his team can do better if they work more as a team.  We hope it works out for them.  He is having a blast, and is happy to be playing.

Great job to all 4 of these teams; thanks for representing Spanish Fork well.  We hope that you guys continue playing well for the rest of the season and have fun!  Good luck!
