During the Thursday, December 12th, orchestra concert, audience members were presented not only a great musical performance, they were also encouraged to participate in a couple different ways.

The orchestra played “Appalachian Hymn,” “North Pole March,” “What Child Is This,” “Dragonhunter,” and “Fiddles On Fire.” At the beginning of the set, there were three presents that were wrapped multiple times in paper distributed to the audience. When a song started the audience would pass the present down the rows until the song ended the person that was holding the gift would unwrap one layer of paper. And whoever had the present when it was completely unwrapped kept it.

During “What Child Is This” everyone in the audience got out their phones and waved them in the air.

It was super fun! The seventh grade orchestra performed awesome.
