Did you see all the cells around the school a few weeks ago? They were drawn by Mr. Hallams’ biology classes. Each student was given a box of chalk and sent outside to find a square of cement and draw an animal or plant cell.

There were many creative cells drawn. Most students finished their cells in the first 10 minutes of class so they all got creative drawing mustaches and other things on themselves! Some kids were lying on the ground and tracing their silhouettes on the road.

Kelsie Christensen said, “It was really fun, because we got to draw it out in a fun way that helped us remember!” This activity is a great way for students to express their creativity, and it helps them make a visual aid that they remember.

Many students think more teachers should try this kind of learning activity. It was extremely fun, and students loved doing it.
