According to the SFJH girls basketball coach Shea Harmer, our Lady Lobos gave it their all and came away with a well-deserved win against Lakeridge yesterday.

“We started off a little nervous and had a hard time settling into our style of play. The first quarter was rough,” reports Coach Harmer.  “We finally calmed down and played our game rest of the time and that made a huge difference.”

According to Harmer, defense was key and really helped shut Lakeridge down. Trinity Benson was a beast on the boards and worked hard to make sure their posts weren’t able to score much. When the Lady Lobos ran their plays, they got in a zone and Lakeridge couldn’t touch them.

Coach Harmer had nothing but praise for her team.  “Macie Clark sank a half-court shot in the 3rd quarter that totally brought the energy to the game,” she said. “Bailie Jensen’s intense yelling and Avery Critchfield’s hard work in the post area really made the difference in the game.”  The girls won it 38-24.

Go Lobos! The girls’ basketball team plays Diamond Fork tomorrow at 3:30 at Diamond Fork. Come on out and give them your support!
