During HOPE Week, we had a speaker come and speak to us. His name is Dustin Smith.

He talked to us about focusing on lifting our eyes. “Eyes up. Do the work.” This means literally lifting your eyes by looking up. Along with looking up, you also are looking for ways people need help and are in need.

We can have such an amazing school by taking this advice and following it. When you see someone in the hall, are you seeing them upset and feeling bad and walking by? Or are you coming, introducing yourself, and helping them feel better? When we focus on putting our eyes up, our school will be better and people will be helped.
