Lady Lobos Crush Diamond Fork

Cross-town rivalries are always intense.  And for Spanish Fork Junior High, the rivalry with Diamond Fork Junior is nothing if not passionate.

On November 30th, our girls basketball team visited DFJH—visited them with destruction!  Here is a report of the game from Coach Harmer.

“Today’s rivalry game was a tough one for the Lady Lobos as they are coming off a five-day break.  However, Kristin Rhees and Maya Yeates got the ball rolling with a lot of steals converted to easy buckets.”

“The girls handled the early pressure from Diamond Fork well and were able to get a lot of points off of easy lay ups.”

“This one was an exciting one for the girls because they knew a lot of the opposing team members.  A lot was on the line to bring the win home.”

“ In the end, the Lobos controlled the game and always stayed ahead.  They solidly won the game 41-26.  High scorers were: Maya Yeates (11 pts.), Riley Jaussi (12 pts.), and Tessa Clayton (10 pts.).”
