Parents, Students and Friends -

 End of Term

Please note that the end of first term is coming up quickly, the last day of the term will be Thursday October 23rd.  At that point, grades will be finalized - Students: Please check to make sure you have everything caught up.  Parents: please encourage students to work with their teachers to get any missing work or tests finished.  Together we can achieve high levels of student success!

 Fall Extra-Curricular

Congratulations to the participants of our three fall sports, Girls Tennis, Golf and Cross Country. These students have represented our school admirably and have concluded very successful seasons.

 Thanks - PTA

What a wonderful group of volunteers we have in PTA that help put together teacher dinners during Parent Teacher Conference! Parent Teacher Conferences make for a long day for the staff and it’s good to know we can offer them a nice meal.  Our sincerest appreciation for dedicated teachers, staff, PTA and volunteers! We want to thank the following volunteers that helped feed the delicious meal to our teachers and staff on Sept. 25th.  - Nicole Norris, Christine Musick, Elizabeth Jones, Daliny Jones, Aileen Dafoe, JaLee Cheatham, Becky Pendleton, Diana Butler, Annie Pierce, Michelle Topham, Gaye Christiansen, Jody McMillan, Michelle Smith, Cassie Callister, TinaMarie Cahill, Angie Gorrell, Heidi Day

 Extended Homework Requests

As you plan vacations or have other extended absences, please be aware of the difficulties that can exist as teachers try to provide accurate assignments for schoolwork that will be missed. Because instruction is often based on how a class is progressing, it is difficult to predict more than a week ahead in order to provide work.  Teachers are always happy to work with you and your student, but will be able to better accommodate requests if they can provide work within a week of the absence.

 Visitors

We remind visitors to please check in at the office, located through the north east doors when entering the school.

 Lobos in Action

Recently our Shakespeare team traveled to Cedar City to compete against 14 other junior highs and middle schools from around the state in the annual Shakespeare Competition sponsored by the Utah Shakespeare Festival. They did a fabulous job and kudos to them for an overall second place finish in the competition. Specifically of note is Kelina Anderson and Meg Nelson with a 2nd place finish for their duo scene and our large ensemble taking 3rd place.
