Parents, Students and Friends –

 End of 1st Term

Please note that the last day of first term is tomorrow - Thursday, October 22nd - At that point, grades will be finalized. Final report cards will be coming home with students on Monday, November 2nd.

 Halloween Costumes

As part of our Red Ribbon week this year we are inviting students to dress in a costume on Friday, October 30th. Make sure if you choose to wear a costume it follows these requirements: All costumes must meet the same modesty and dress code standards as regular school clothing; all costumes must meet safe school requirements with regards to weapons/violence etc., No masks or painted faces. These guidelines are intended to help school function as normally as possible and your cooperation is appreciated. 

 Online Coding Camps for Students

Interested in online computer coding?  Nebo District is offering after-school classes for students in grades 4-9 in various locations throughout the district.  Please click on the link for further information or to register for coding camps. http://pub.lucidpress.com/nebocodingcamps/

 Fall Dance and Carnival TOMORROW

All students are invited to attend the fall school dance and carnival sponsored by our student council. It will be held tomorrow, Thursday, Oct. 22nd from 7:00-9:00pm in the school gym. There will be an awesome dance and a fun fall carnival where you can play entertaining games and win cool prizes. The cost is $5 without student ID and $4 if you show your student ID and this price includes 5 carnival tickets. Dress for the dance is everyday school casual (no costumes). Mark your calendar and plan to attend. Parents willing to chaperon are asked to contact Mrs. Thompson.

 Red Ribbon Week

Next week October 26-30th will be our Red Ribbon - Cool 2B Kind week. Students are invited to participate by dressing up to show their school spirit - Monday: crazy sock day (sock it to drugs), Tuesday: favorite sports team shirt/jersey (team up 2B kind), Wednesday: wear red Wednesday (#WRW), Thursday school shirt or neon (SFJHS is too bright for drugs), Friday: Halloween costumes (drugs are scary).

 Spanish Fork High School Cross Country

Good luck to 9th graders Wyatt Evans and Tanner Olson who are running as varsity members of the Spanish Fork Cross Country Team at the State Cross Country Championships.  The race is held Wednesday, October 21st at 3pm at Sugarhouse Park in Salt Lake City.  Wyatt and Tanner have finished in the top seven varsity runners for the high school throughout the season.  Other Lobos who have run with Spanish Fork include: Jaxon Barton, Jack Bayless, Ethan Blake, Jordon Scott, Morgan Wood and Melody Wooten. By way of reminder, the High School Cross Country Team Awards Banquet and Dinner is Thursday, October 22nd at 6pm at the Spanish Fork High School Cafeteria.
