Parents, Students and Friends –

 Thank You Veterans

This Veterans Day SFJHS wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to all those who have contributed so much to the freedom of this nation and our community by serving in our armed forces. We sincerely appreciate and honor your service!

 Parent/Teacher Conferences Date Change

By way of FYI - The original P/T conferences date of December 2nd has been changed to December 9th to avoid a conflict with the SF High School. The new date is now reflected on the school website’s official calendar.

 Congratulation to Mrs. Phillips

Kudos to our own Mrs. Phillips! She has applied for and received several Donors Choose grants for education. Because of these grants her classroom has been supplied with many educational items that include time telling clocks, magnifying lenses, various musical instruments and musical supplies as well as other educational materials. Thanks to Google and Chevron for funding these grants.

 Welcome Mr. Carter

Spanish Fork Jr. High Administration is happy to introduce Mr. Skyler Carter as our new Guitar teacher and SFJHS Band Director. He has just finished a very successful experience at American Fork High School and has now accepted the open position here at SFJHS. Mr. Carter is experienced and enthusiastic about music education and the success of students. He is passionate about providing students opportunities to learn educational and life skills through music education. In fact, some may already be familiar with Mr. Carter because of the work he has done with Spanish Fork High School Marching Band this last summer. We extend a warm welcome to Mr. Carter and have every confidence that he will continue to take our guitar classes and band program forward in a positive way.

 When Visiting SFJHS

Parents, by way of reminder and as a matter of security we ask that you please check in at the office whenever you are visiting the school prior to going to a classroom. A visitor pass will be provided to you so that teachers are aware you have already checked in.

 Lobos in Action

Big thanks go out to all our students that came in best dress today and showed amazing respect during our Veterans Day assembly. The reverence and respect you showed for veterans and the day that honors them is admirable. Several vets commented how impressed they were with our students. Way to represent SFJHS and show how we feel about our freedom and those that have defended it!  To see photos of students honoring the day visit our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/sfjhs
