Reminder - End of Second Term

Did you realize there are only nine school days left after Christmas Break this term?  Please check with teachers to get any missing work gathered, completed and turned in. The holiday break provides extra time if needed, to make up school work that could help raise a grade.  Take advantage of the opportunity!

 Geography Bee

Way to go Geography Bee participants! In order to participate in the 27th annual National Geographic Bee, eighth graders had to pass a written test with a high qualifying score.  There were a very limited number of seats available for the entire eighth grade so being able to participate was a great accomplishment.  The following students qualified and participated in the school competition: Bradyn Johnson, Damian Burrell, Jenna Muirbrook, Samantha Sutch, Ethan Gunn, Jordyn Harrison, Phoenix Collins, Mitchell Cheatham, Ethan Blake, Kimball Peterman, Nathan Lawrence, Tristan Bowman, Katey Huntsman, Sarah Wessman, Tyler Creer, Sterling Brinkerhoff, JJ Judd, Aislyn Sharp, Amelia Moleff, Kode Creer, Zach Beus, Julia Hult, Jaxon Barton, Ethan Oyler, Chase Holt. Finishing in first place was Tyler Creer with Ethan Blake finishing in Second Place and Julia Hult finishing in Third Place.  Congratulations to all the contestants and our school finalists!

 Penny Wars

Way to go SFJHS - Penny Wars has now concluded and we can declare victory! As a school, we raised over $2,500 which will be officially presented to the Nebo Credit Union - Warm the Souls campaign during an assembly Friday morning. Mr. Tuckett’s class took 1st place by donating over $530 while Mr. Waters class took second place and Mr. Ferrin’s class finished third. Again, way to go Lobos!
