Parents, Students and Friends –

 End of Second Term

It’s go time!  Second Term ends next Thursday, January 14th and most teachers will cut off grades at the beginning of next week... So that means only a few days are left to check with teachers and get any missing work gathered, completed and turned in.

Student Schedule Changes for Next Semester

With the new semester rapidly approaching we want to address the process of requesting schedule changes. Starting now, counselors will be available to make schedule changes to correct any scheduling mistakes (incomplete schedule, etc.)  Beginning Monday, Jan. 11th counselors will be available to visit with students about changing elective classes. For all other student requested schedule changes, counselors will be available beginning Thursday, January 21st.  Please note that in order to begin a schedule change a student and/or parent must meet with their assigned counselor. Some important reminders: 1- Discussing possible schedule changes does not guarantee a student's schedule request will be granted.  2- Once a student or parent has spoken with a counselor and he/she has made sure that the class is not full and is logistically possible, the student will be sent to obtain teacher and parent signatures on an official add/drop class change form. 3- Once the form is completed with all signatures and the class change fee of $5.00 has been paid, the counselor will finalize the changes and the student's new schedule will be available to view on SIS/Aspire.  4- No schedule changes will be made once a class has reached its maximum capacity (even if a student has already obtained the needed signatures).

 Parent Survey Request

 7th Grade Science Testing

End of level SAGE testing for students in 7th grade science during first semester will begin this week on Friday and will continue into next week. We invite all 7th graders that are in science this semester to get a good night’s sleep and eat a healthy breakfast so that you can be at your best during testing. If you know that you're student will not be here next week please let Mrs. Goates know so that she can work out a time for him/her to take the test.
