Parents, Students and Friends –

 Opportunity to Visit the ALC

Attention All Ninth Graders: So that you are aware of what is available for you at the Advanced Learning Center, our school is offering a field trip to the ALC in Springville right after lunch on Tuesday, March 1st. This field trip will give you the chance to see some of the many options you can participate in at the ALC.  On the field trip, you will choose and attend two mini-classes in health science, engineering, robotics, information technology, or digital media.   Stop by the counseling office today to get a permission slip and sign up for the field trip. Hurry this field trip is less than one week away - come in today and sign up before all the spots fill up!

Follow Up from 9th Grade High School Visit

Yesterday all 9th graders visited Spanish Fork High School for Sophomore Orientation.  They received important registration information and forms.  These forms need to be completed and returned TOMORROW Thursday, February 25th, with parent signatures.  The counselors from the high school will be in our building tomorrow to help students begin the registration process.  This will be done during their social studies class.

 Registration for Next Year

Parents, please be aware that students will begin the registration process this coming week. Information for 8th grade students going into 9th grade will be presented on Monday, February 29th in U.S. History classes. Similar registration information for registration of 7th grade students going into 8th grade will be given on Tuesday, March 1st in your student’s College and Career Awareness (CTE) class.  During these classes students will be given all needed registration materials to complete the registration process for next year.  Students will be required to take the registration forms home so parents can approve their course selections.  The registration form must be signed by each student’s parent/guardian before it can be turned in.  Registration forms are due back on Friday, March 4th. For further information contact the counseling center at (801) 798-4075 ext. 2

 Thanks PTA

SFJHS has some amazing volunteers!  We want to thank the PTA and the wonderful parents that helped to feed our teachers and staff on a long day of Parent/Teacher conferences on Wed. Feb 17th.  Thanks to the PTA our teachers and staff enjoyed a delicious, hot meal including a yummy desert. We also want to extend a big thanks to those volunteers that helped with the PTA book fair. It was very successful and all the money raised goes directly to our school. Thanks again PTA!
