 4-H Afterschool Clubs

Participate in our February 4-H Afterschool Clubs.  This month we are offering Creepy Crawlers Club and Edible Art, Made with Heart. The worms crawl in, the worms crawl out, come and see what this club’s all about!  We will be dissecting frogs, harvesting DNA from your saliva, looking at cells, exploring pond water and investigating the amphibian species.  Come join the Creepy Crawlers Club with Ms. Kerksiek.  Spread the love this Valentine’s season by joining the 4-H after-school club: "Edible Art, Made with Heart" club. We'll be making delicious Valentine's candy, cookies, cupcakes and so much more. Hope to see you there.  Pick up your enrollment form and register in the main office.  The cost is $5.00 per club if you’ve already participated in 4H this year.  It’s $10 if this is your first club.  Don’t delay, sign up today and tell a friend.  Pick up your forms today.  More information is available at http://sfjhs.nebo.edu/content/4h

 PTA Book Fair

The PTA Scholastic Book Fair is coming up this Feb. 16, 17, and 18. We will start each day at 7:30am and will end at 3:15pm on Tues. and Thurs. We will remain open until 7pm on Wed. during Parent Teacher Conferences. We look forward to providing more opportunities for your students to read at home and in the classroom. With this book fair, we are participating in the "All for Books" program. This is a way to donate your loose change and dollar bills toward more books in your student's classroom.  Donation boxes will be next to the book fair register and on the counselor's table during PTC.  With the money you donate, we buy books at this fair selected by teachers. Those books count toward our Scholastic reward dollars which allows us to buy even more books for the school.  Scholastic Inc. also matches our donation, giving books to children in need through organizations such as the Kids in Need Foundation and Reader to Reader Inc.  Online ordering, benefiting our school, goes from Feb. 7-20.  Please check out our homepage at this URL: http://bookfairs.scholastic.com/homepage/spanishforkjuniorhighsch1Thank you! If you have any questions or would like to volunteer at our fair, please call or text Megan Oliverson at 435-713-5228.

Lobos in Action

Last Wednesday, our Jr. High was able to send Porter Olsen and Kalley Stubbs to the Area 5 contest with many other high schools in our area.  Kalley and Porter competed in the creed and Porter also competed in Parliamentary Procedure.  They both did absolutely amazing in their contests!
