Parents, Students and Friends –

 End of Third Term

Please note that the end of the term is coming up quickly, on Thursday March 17th.  That is just two weeks away. Students: Please check with teachers to get any missing work gathered, completed and turned in by each teacher’s cutoff date (usually several days before that last day of the term). Parents: please encourage students to work with their teachers to get any missing work or tests finished.  Together we can achieve high levels of student success!

 Return of Registration Materials

Please be aware that ALL registration materials must be returned by Friday, March 4th with parent signatures. 7th graders: Return your forms to your CTE teacher. 8th graders: Return your forms to your US History teacher. If you have any questions about registration please drop by the counseling center and speak with the registrar Mrs. Provstgaard or a counselor.

 Honors English for Next Year

Any 7th or 8th grader wanting to enroll in Honors English for next year must get an application form from the counselors or their English Teacher and then come after school on Monday, March 7th or Thursday, March 10th to take the Honors English qualifying test. Students will need to take the test before any considerations for Honors English will be made for next year. The test will take 45-60 minutes. If you have questions about this process speak with your English teacher or a counselor.

 Boys Tennis

March is here and Boys Tennis is starting soon!  Any 7th, 8th or 9th grade boy, interested in playing tennis needs to meet at Señor Moss' room (room 29) on Friday, March 4th right after school for a 20 minute meeting. We will give participants their physical packets and uniform ordering information and go over the season schedule. Tryouts begin March 15th at the tennis courts from 3:00 to 4:15 (those will be our normal practice hours as well). Athletes need to have their packets filled out and returned by the first day of tryouts.  Following tryouts, there will be a Parents meeting on March 21st from 4:00 to 4:15

 Track and Field

The Track and Field information meeting will be held Thursday, March 10th right after school in the lunchroom. Track and Field is an open sport and we invite all students to come and participate. Practice will begin Monday, March 21st.  In order for students to participate (this includes practice), they will need a current Form A Health Exam. It can be found on the following link: http://sfjhs.nebo.edu/sites/sfjhs.nebo.edu/files/Form%20A.pdf  - If you have any questions, please contact Coach Zacharias in room 21 or email at esther.zacharias [at] nebo.edu (esther[dot]zacharias[at]nebo[dot]edu)
