On October 24th, 2017, the SFJHS Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced Orchestras performed at the Spanish Fork High School’s auditorium. With the concert being so close to Halloween, the orchestras dressed up in costumes. The Sixth Grade Orchestra also came and performed two songs with the Beginning Orchestra ("Sourwood Mountain" and "John Ryan's Polka"). There were all sorts of costumes at the affair. There were a ton of Star Wars costumes but most of the costumes were different.

All the orchestras sounded really good and played sensational songs. The audience also got to participate. Some songs they clapped, other songs they hit glow balls around and swayed glow sticks back and forth to the beat of the song. After the Beginning Orchestra had finished performing, Mrs. Harman did a raffle: if the number they called was yours, you got a prize (most of the prizes were candy). They also did that after the Intermediate Orchestra finished.

Afterward, the Advanced Orchestra played and did fantastic. We also found out that the Advanced Orchestra will be performing with someone from American Idol in January and will receive a check for the school! The program ended up being a blast. If you couldn't come, you can always come to the next one. The next concert is December 11th at 7:00 p.m. We hope to see you there!
