Utilizing a spirited game of “Rock, Paper, Scissors”, Ms. Terry’s 9th grade Geography classes learned about three different economic systems used in the world.

Students were given “money” whose individual value equaled 1 M&M.  With this “money”, they competed in various games of “Rock, Paper, Scissors” following the economic rules of the various economic systems they had previously studied.

The students had a good time competing against each other and even Mr. Larsen, our Administrative intern, joined in. Students were able to see how each system differed from each other and got a personal glimpse of how the economic systems of Capitalism, Socialism, and Communism work.
