Red Ribbon Week at Spanish Fork Junior High School was held October 31 through November 4.  Monday was Halloween, so students were asked to dress in red.  The Junior Honor Society visited their classes and rewarded students with some candy to start off their day with a slow dose of sugar for the night to come.  A Pie-Eating contest was held during both lunches in the cafeteria.  Two students from each grade and two teachers competed to down some pumpkin pies in a hurry.  Mr. Bartholomew and Mr. Bake each won their lunch time contest, but lost the battle of feeling good for the rest of the day!

The Junior Honor Society and the Counseling Department sponsored an anti-drug poster, essay, or video contest.  The winners of the poster contest are 1st place, Kristin Harris; 2nd place, Kourtney Beus and Maran Wilson; and 3rd place, Becca Fabis.  Winners of the essay contest are 1st place, Janelle Slater; 2nd place, Conner Campbell; and 3rd place, Mikell Henningson.  Video winners are Jenna Rhodes and Kyla Rogers.  Congratulations and thank you for your participation!
