Seventh-graders from Mrs. Harmer and Ms. Terry's classes got to go to This Is The Place Heritage Park today.

Students learn about the lifestyles of mountain men and Native Americans.  They also saw demonstrations on skills need by the Utah pioneers like tanning leather.  They even learned about the trans-continental railroad.

Later in the year, students will visit the Great Salt Lake and Antelope Island.

Field trips help make learning authentic.  Thanks Mrs. Harmer and Ms. Terry for planning learning activities that engage students.
