For those of you that do not know, Spanish Fork High School holds an annual Powder Puff football tournament.  The Powder Puff tournament features the girls playing flag football and the boys providing the half time entrainment.  This year’s tournament was both entertaining and competitive.

This reporter interviewed Tristan Anderson who attended the tourney.  Tristan said that this free event was held at Don’s Stadium where the boys play their football games.  The girls fielded eight teams made up of players from the girls soccer team, the cheer squad, and the drill team. Tristan then explained that people could sign up and make their own teams. Some of these teams were named the “Smurfs” and” Better Than the Best”.  The games were competitive but the Better Then the Best won the “Super Bowl.”

When asked if there was entertainment during halftime Tristan could only laugh. This reporter asked for the reason, so she explained that seven or eight boys dressed up in girl’s clothes and danced.  Sounds like an interesting halftime show to me!

Make sure to watch out for the Powder Puff tournament next year! It promises both laughs and entertainment
