Thanks to the Utah Shakespeare Festival’s Shakespeare-in-the-Schools program, Spanish Fork Junior High freshmen in Mrs. Nielsen’s English classes had the opportunity to experience the tragedy of Macbeth.

As part of an ongoing assignment to experience the drama of Shakespeare as it was intended—in other words, to experience a play--students attended one of two performances of Macbeth held at SFH and SHS respectively.  After the performance, students created an info-graphic that depicted key elements of the play:  character development, setting, theme, plot, symbolism, and significant dialogue passages.  Students unable to attend the Festival’s free productions are finding filmed versions of the Bards works in order to create their info-graphics.

Mrs. Nielsen has been impressed with the products turned in so far.
