A record number of ninth graders from Spanish Fork Junior High made the Spanish Fork high school girls soccer team this fall season—sixteen girls!

Each of these players brought individual skills and talents that had an immediate impact on the high school program. They were able to step in and make substantial contributions to the  Sophomore, JV and Varsity teams.

Starting in August and going through mid-October these players would spend over two hours each day after school practicing with the team.  During the season, they traveled from Payson to Brigham City, playing teams from 15 different schools, often playing 2-3 games each week.  It was a lot of invested time, hard work and dedication but it resulted in a lot of fun with great memories and friendships being made.

We are proud of all these students who represented themselves, their families and their school so well.

Serving as team captains:  Izzy Barney, Leah Harwood, Kirtlyn Marsh, Libby Shaheen

JV awards:  Brooklyn Smith, outstanding forward  & Leah Harwood, outstanding midfielder

Varsity award: Paityn Clegg, Rookie of the Year
