SFJHS Parents, Guardians, and Students,

Tomorrow is the day we start At Home Learning in Nebo District. At SFJHS our mantra is, “Not Learning is Not an Option”. We miss seeing our students and our dedication to them is unmatched. Our teachers have been tirelessly working to provide essential learning opportunities for our students. Please note, parents do not need to create lesson plans and activities at home. We have this covered.

We are aware you have been receiving many emails. The updates from the CDC, Utah Office of the Governor, and the Utah State Office of Education have been coming very rapidly. So, in an effort to keep you informed here is a list of items to be mindful of rather than separate emails.

Teachers will be sending out an email to students and parents with information about their course. Our initial focus for this week is the completion of Term 3 work. We are working with all students to ensure earned credit is recorded and students have some time to make up missing work. We will then continue into Term 4.

  • Check our website regularly for periodic updates and to reference information.
  • If you are in need of internet services, see Hot Spot Information. Please let us know if you have NO MEANS of internet service.
  • To link to a teacher’s Canvas or website, click Website under the teacher’s name on the Faculty Page.
  • To link to a student Canvas Account, see Nebo Canvas Online Access.
  • We are learning new ways to deliver instruction and communicate digitally. In the days to come, please communicate any questions you have so we can provide the best instruction possible.
  • Prospective Honors English Scholars: we are not able to have you come in to do testing at this time.  Everyone who wants to be considered will have an opportunity to go through the qualification process. We thank you for your patience as we weigh our options and determine the best course of action.  - Mrs. Kay and Mrs. Nielsen

Shout out to our amazing faculty for the work they have done over the last two days to bring At Home Learning to SFJHS students! Our level of urgency to serve students heightened exponentially and teachers rose beyond that level in every way.

Finally, a huge thank you to our parents and guardians! Your willingness to be flexible in this time of rapid change and movement has encouraged us in our work. Continue to have patience with us as we navigate our new teaching model. Together, we can do this work and do it well. We appreciate your support!
