SFJH Performs in a Band Bash

Submitted by david.thacker on

Have you ever heard a 7th   grader play a French Horn with a 12th Grade Trumpeter? The result was the first ever Spanish Fork Band Bash! SFJH Band Students combined with Spanish Fork High School to create a spectacular performance.

Mr. Wendell said, “The Band Bash is here to provide music students an experience of playing with experts. It shows them, ‘This is where I am going to be, and this is where I was.’”

There was no grading in the event. The judging was provided by listeners who offered opinions. Even though there was no grading, there was still quite a bit of competition between the band students. “There's always competition,” commented Mr. Wendell, “even between the classrooms. And because of this competition, it drives SFJH and SFHS to play better.”
