Did you know that the SFJHS Student Council and HOPE Squad went to the Utah Solutions Summit Conference? They learned how to help the big problem of opioid addiction. The special guests were Senator Mike Lee, Attorney General Sean Reyes, Alema Harrington and musicians Lexi Walker and Foreign Figures. There were also athletes such as UFC fighter Court McGee and collegiate wrestling champion Ben Kjar. They all gave great ideas to help overcome this dangerous addiction: stop the shame and show love and compassion, make note of 3 positive things about yourself each day, know you’re not alone, and reach out to make a connection to others around you to both get help and to give help.

Thank you Student Council and HOPE Squad for attending this awesome conference and for sharing what you learned!
