Singing Praises

The end of the school year can be a schedule nightmare, but for those who scheduled in a night to attend the choir's final performance on Thursday May 3, were treated to a musical dream. Choir Director, Sharon Hopkins, displayed her brilliant and talented students and high-lighted specials songs from a year of hard work.

All of the choirs combined to sing a stirring rendition of the "Star Spangled Banner". They continued to blend their beautiful voices as they sang a fun medley of songs from the musical Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat.

The Chamber Choir harmonized and sang with classical simplicity. They combined with the Concert Choir for some selections; a highlight was "Blue Moon."

The Concert Choir shined by themselves in songs like "Blue Skies" and "Keep Your Lamp Trimmed and Burning," even adding a percussion flare with drum solos by Tristan Anderson and Ashley Ainge.

The General Choir added to the night and lightened the stage with a rockin' rendition of "My Boyfriend's Back."

Finally, the Show Choir made the auditorium the "happiest place" by singing a medley of Disney classics. They really thrilled us with a scary fun version of "Thriller."

We applaud Sharon Hopkins for developing and showcasing so much talent. Thank you for your dedication to music and to our students!
