Did you know that you can be stalked through the device you're holding?

Since 2007 when Apple Inc. introduced the first smartphone, phones have been a big problem. With technology getting better, the more danger phones have.

Stalking has always been around and has gotten worse as the years have gone by. But when phones came alive, it grew.

Stalkers can hack into your phone and look through the camera on the front screen. Or they might even just stalk you on Instagram or other social media apps.

Teens and adults are affected, and nationally 7.5 million people are stalked every year according to safehorizon.org.

Stalkers will normally stalk because they are in love, or they want revenge and stalkers can look through all of your devices including…

  • Laptop
  • Desktop computer
  • Smart phone
  • Your tablet

Stalking is a very serious thing and here are some of my ways to prevent being stalked through your phone:

If I were you, I would see if your phone has been “Jailbroken.”

Backup your phone, reset your phone, and finally get help form a law enforcer.

Then, ask yourself these questions:

  • How often do you use your camera? Do you use social media often?
  • Are you subject to often, random, sudden pop-up windows on your device?
  • Does new unnecessary toolbars appear in your web browser or random items in the task tray?
  • Does error messages suddenly appear? Do certain keys fail to work on your computer?
