Members of the SFJH Student Council went to Legacy House Assisted Living on December 11 to spread holiday cheer to the residents by singing Christmas carols. They sang songs such as “Jingle Bells” and “Silent Night” as well as doing an impromptu performance of “Jingle Bell Rock” requested and led by one of the residents: a spunky and fun woman named Wanda. Adam Blake performed “Angels We Have Heard on High” on his ukulele, and the Student Council was also joined by members of the SFHS Girls Basketball team who were visiting the residents. Many of the residents sang along with our little choir and requested for the students to come back to see them. These students had a blast and were so happy to perform a service and brighten up the day for their audience. It was hard to tell who had the bigger smiles: the residents of Legacy House or the Student Council!
