Spring Captain's Academy took place on March 27th at the District Office.  The Student Athletes that attended were able to meet other athletes from different schools and hear from some very great speakers.

Dave McKee Principal at Spanish Fork High School addressed them first and shared an awesome message about character.  He related some of his experiences while playing football at BYU under Coach LaVell Edwards.

The Captains then heard from PRCA rodeo star Braxten Nielsen, who shared his life story, contrasting the lessons he’d learned as a star athlete throughout high school and his rodeo career.  Braxten shared how, after a life-changing injury, he was able to overcome all kinds of obstacles and learn to walk again.  Braxten had an unbelievable message!

This term’s captain's, selected by their coaches and teams, are Maddisyn Lott- Girl's Track, Peyton Thorpe- Boy's Track, Kaydee Sowards- Girl's Golf, and Clifton Carron-Campbell- Boy's Tennis.

It was an awesome experience for all that attended!
