Rillene Nielsen 24.01 KB

Rillene Nielsen joined our faculty at SFJH three years ago.  She is a California native transplanted to Utah after a wildfire.  She is a mother of 6--5 boys and 1 girl.  And according to her children, she can be opinionated and bossy at times.  Here are just a few things we love and appreciate about her.

One of the most impressive things about RIllene is her calm demeanor.  She can be in the middle of chaos and be as calm as if she were soaking in a bubbly tub, candles glowing all around, and listening to her favorite classic rock band.  Situations that would send most teachers into a frenzy roll right off her back.  She always strives for excellence and doesn’t engage in negativity.

Another thing we appreciate about Rillene is her creative brilliance.  She is very knowledgeable and will to share anything she has.  Rillene works very hard and is dedicated to her students and her co-workers.  She gives 300% on every assignment she is given and is very willing to problem solve in order to find solutions.

One of her colleagues said, “Sometimes I walk past her classroom during my prep period and listen to her class.  I am always drawn into what she is doing in the classroom.”  Her ability to relate to 7th graders on their level is uncanny.

In addition to her contagious laughter and her best Farrah Fawcett hair back in the day, Rillene is an awesome part of our team and just an amazing all-around human being, always ready to share a quick quip or a smile.  She was a pillar of strength to her father this past summer before he passed away.  We are lucky to have such an awesome English teacher here at SFJH.

P.S.  It’s also rumored that she can outread anyone.
