Lobo Men’s Tennis of to a Great Start

The tennis season has begun!  Our Lobo tennis team consists of 31 boys--a program record.

The J.V. and Varsity teams played on Tuesday the 31st of March and won 8 of the 10 matches against Diamond Fork.

The intramural team has their first match of the year on Wednesday, April 01, 2015.  They are looking to be one of the strongest teams in the district.

Coach Whitaker and Coach Moss are very excited to be a part of such a great team and look forward to a fun season!

HOPE Week

This week is HOPE Week, and our HOPE squad has an ajenda of events: 

  • Tuesday:  Assembly Tommy Wells (afternoon)
  •   HOPE Walk 7 PM @ Spanish Fork High School.  Bring flashlights or glow sticks
  • Wednesday:  Wear Yellow day
  • Thursday: "Praise your Peers"  (students sign a compliment wall at lunch)
  • Friday: HOPE Pledge (Students pledge to stand up to bullying at lunch)

 ANSWER:   New Dimensions:  (starting from the top and going clockwise)  10 ft, 4 ft, 2 ft, 2 ft, 8 ft, 6 ft.    Dimensions of the scale drawing.  5 in, 2 in, 1 in, 1 in, 4 in, 3 in.

Return of Registration Materials

Please be aware that ALL registration materials must be returned by Friday, March 27th with parent signatures. 7th graders: Return your forms to your CTE teacher. 8th graders: Return your forms to your US History teacher. If you have any questions about registration please drop by the counseling center and speak with the registrar Mrs. Provstgaard or a counselor.

Dog Run Problem

Answer:  No...it is 99% of the old. Winners: Kyle Bartlett, Andrew Gunyan, Maddy Johnson, and Greg Olson

Deck Problem

Your Dad is going to build a deck for your house and he finds the perfect plans but he needs to make it 2/3 as big as it is in the plans.  He wants you to help him come up with the new measurements.  Then, he wants you to make a scale drawing so he can share his new plans with his brother.  He wants the scale to be 1/2 inch = 1 foot.

Dog Run Problem

Tim wanted to change the shape of his dog run so that his dog has more room but he isn't sure this will give him more space.    He decides to increase the length by 10% and decrease the width by 10%.  Is the new area more that the old?  Why or why not?
