Running Lobos Back Their Pack at Final XC Meet

Submitted by david.thacker on

Our Ryan Olsen—7th boys’ team—took 3rd overall, which was a huge accomplishment. Many students were able to achieve their personal best on the Mapleton Course.

The Cross-Country Lobos showed their school spirit by cheering each other on even after their own exhausting races. We are very proud of our team and their success this season.

9th graders Rylei Voorhees, Luke Galloway and Ashley Olsen competed and did well in the Farm Co-op Quiz October 11th.

Students had to answer questions about agriculture co-ops, and then got to meet business people in the agriculture industry. They got to eat dinner with the general manager of Select Sires.  They discussed employment opportunities and the cattle industry with him.

Well done, Lobos!

Stained Glass Windows Help Students Make Historical Connections

Submitted by david.thacker on

Eight-grade US History classes recently went to UVU and saw the Roots of Knowledge exhibit.

The exhibit includes numerous stained-glass windows featuring important events, places, people, throughout history.  The windows convey how these historical elements have influenced our education, knowledge, and learning.

Students were able to look through the windows and make connections to what they having been learning in class as well as understand how knowledge throughout history influences their daily lives today and into the future.
