In Mr. Mortimer’s science class they worked on elastic potential energy by launching hockey pucks down the hallways with rubber bands attached to the bottom of chairs. Students were challenged to master the distance the hockey puck would go based on how far back they pulled the rubber band.

Students from Ms. Nielsen's Freshman ELA and Honors English classes have answered the question, "Can I enhance my writing and create sensory images for my readers by using metaphors and similes?"  Their answer is a resounding YES!

Purpose

This past weekend, 15 SFJHS 9th grade drama students attended Drama Con at UVU. We had so much fun attending workshops, a show, and hanging out with friends. Our own Miss Holley received a special award from the Utah Theatre Association for "dedicated service to Theatre Education in Utah."
