FFA Compete at Deseret Peak Invitational
SFJH FFA students recently competed at the Deseret Peak Invitational in Livestock Judging, Floral Contest and Agriculture Mechanics.
These students plan to compete at the state level at the end of April.

SFJH FFA students recently competed at the Deseret Peak Invitational in Livestock Judging, Floral Contest and Agriculture Mechanics.
These students plan to compete at the state level at the end of April.
“The long-distance crew for track killed it yesterday in our first run together,” reports Melissa Kay, one of SFJH’s intrepid track coaches with specific responsibilities over the long-distance runners.
In Mr. Mortimer's science class, students took pictures of spinach leaves. They were able to find the "mouths" of the leaves called stomata. This is where gas exchange occurs that helps aid the miracle of photosynthesis.
Today, with the help of the Spanish Fork Police Department, SFJH students participated in an emergency lock-down drill. Teachers instructed students on the procedures for their particular classroom, then practiced those procedures while the SFPD walked the halls with their K-9 companions.
Hailey Lopez and Brady Hurst, students at Spanish Fork Junior High, were given a list of things they could do for their eighth grade US history class project. They decided to do service in their community.
Mrs. Jessica Lindley, Dean of Students, is conducting a series of Minute to Win it games to coincide with March Madness. There is a bracket system posted in the front office listing faculty members and their scores following various wacky activities.
