Students in animal science were visited from Ms. Karen Horman and her therapy dog, Shiloh.  They work for Intermountain Therapy Animals. Shiloh's job is to go to the hospital almost every day to encourage patients and help them heal.  He also travels to local schools to help kindergartners learn to read. Therapy animals build confidence in young children without feeling pressure from a peer. Students were able to ask questions about how to get a job in the field and even learned some training techniques for their own dogs at home. The favorite part of the day was being able to pet Shiloh and give him treats.
