Introducing Mrs. Brooke Cline

Mrs. Cline will be new to Spanish Fork Junior High next year and will be teaching math. We asked Mrs. Cline to introduce herself and this is what she had to say:

"My name is Brooke Cline. I love to do anything outdoors. I love to go hiking, fishing, boating and I love to swim. During summer break my husband and I like to take small trips with our families. We also love a good TV series. One of my hobbies include sewing. This year I got a sewing machine for my birthday, so I’m looking forward to sewing more often. The last book I read was The Series of Unfortunate Events: The Ersatz Elevator.  I loved this series when I was a teenager and I am re-reading the series since they made it into a Netflix’s Original Series. My best friend is definitely my husband. We love to spend time together and help each other with projects.

I am from the little town of Kaysville, Utah. I am the youngest of three kids. I have an older brother and sister. I have been married for 5 years and have a daughter named Paige who will be one in August. I attended Weber State University right out of high school where I obtained my Associates Degree in General Studies. After I got married, I transferred to Utah Valley University where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Math Education. That same year, my husband graduated with his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from BYU. After we graduated, we moved to Layton, Utah where I taught math for a year at Sunset Jr. High School.  We didn’t end up staying in Layton for long because my husband got into the Counseling Psychology PhD program at BYU. He started his first year of graduate school last year right after we had our baby. I decided to take the year off instead of starting a new year of school on maternity leave.

I am very excited to jump back into teaching again this coming year. I am especially grateful to be teaching at Spanish Fork Jr. High. I have only heard great things about it. This year I am going to be teaching 8th grade math. A fun fact about me is that I haven’t always enjoyed math. I grew to love math when I went to high school. I had the best math teachers that made me love math. I want to be that teacher for your students. I am looking forward to a great year!"
