We know it has only been a month since school let out for summer vacation, but we are so excited to tell you about some of the new teachers to our school for next fall!

Our first spotlight is Mrs. Meagan Nelson who will be teaching 8th grade U.S. History. She says, "I live in Spanish Fork with my husband and two kids. We have a golden doodle named Rosie who we think is the best dog in the world. I love Disneyland, the beach, traveling, and reading. I love too many books to pick a favorite, but my favorite genres are non-fiction and historical fiction. Although I read a lot, I've never read any of the Harry Potter books (I haven't seen any of the movies, either).

Some of my favorite foods include Japanese curry, sushi, anything with bleu cheese, ribeye steak, chips and salsa, and a good salad. I love to try new foods and restaurants with my family.  I am a true history nerd. I spend a lot of time reading books and watching documentaries about history. I love the musical Hamilton and often listen to its soundtrack on repeat. Since reading Ron Chernow's biography by the same title and seeing the play, I have become fascinated with Alexander Hamilton and love reading about him.   I'm excited to teach at Spanish Fork Junior High and look forward to a great year!"
