HONORS ENGLISH APPLICATION PROCESS
Current 7th and 8th graders who would like to be considered for Honors English next year need to complete a two-part process. First, pick up an application in the counseling center and submit it to your English teacher by Tuesday March 17. Second, attend ONE writing/testing session after school, either Thursday March 12th or Tuesday March 17th. Current 7th graders will meet in Mrs. B. Kay’s room (room 1), and current 8th graders will meet in Mrs. Nielsen’s room (room 2). Only students who complete all parts of the process on time will be considered for honors English.
PTA FUNDRAISER - MARCH MADNESS
This week is the PTA’s annual fundraiser, March Madness! PTA works each year to support our school in many ways. One way they help is to fundraise for ways to improve and inform what we do. We have invited Foreign Figures to visit us this spring with a message of kindness and support for each other. Foreign Figures teach empathy, respect, self-esteem, anti-bullying, and acts of kindness through music.
BOYS’ TENNIS
Lobo Boys Tennis is about a month away! We will have an informational meeting for Lobo Boys Tennis on March 12th at 2:45 in room A2 in the north parking lot (Mr. Lawrence's classroom with the big Lobo Paw on the side). The meeting is open to players and parents. We will discuss the season, the schedule, the required forms, fees, etc. The tournament season won't start until after spring break, but tryouts will begin March 23rd. For those eager to get their paperwork started, the physical forms are always available on our school website at http://sfjhs.nebo.edu/content/parent-and-student-information
TRACK AND FIELD
A Track and Field information meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 3rd right after school in Mrs. Mitchell's classroom, Room 8 @ 2:45. If students cannot make it to the meeting they can meet with any coach to get the information. Coach Megan Lynn Room 26, Coach Yemina Geroli Room 39, and Coach Jacinda Vawdrey Room 31.
COLOR GUARD
Color Guard Showcase for all friends and family will be on April 1st at 7pm in the Spanish Fork High Main Gym. Come watch the varsity and junior varsity teams perform with sabres, rifles and flags.
SNOW DAY MAKE-UP DAY, MARCH 20
The district has determined that Friday, March 20 will be the make-up day for the Snow Day. We will be on an early out (Monday) schedule since the Snow Day occurred on a Monday.
