On Thursday, March 5th, the Spanish Fork Junior High School Band performed at the high school. The first group to perform was the Beginning Band, and they performed three songs. One of those three songs was “Walking the Planks'' by Robert W. Smith. Their performance was amazing!
The next group to perform was the Jazz Band. They also performed three songs. My favorite of the three songs was “Barbados” by Paul Lee. During the song, they had two soloists: Caden Paxman and Victorya Bowen.
The third group to perform was the Percussion Ensemble. They played the song “Jokers Wild” by Brian Standridge. They also performed with the combined Concert and Symphonic Bands. They played three songs. One of those three songs was “Amparito Roca” by Texidor, arr/Fagan. That song sounded extraordinary!
These amazing numbers would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our wonderful Band Director Ms. Johnson.
