 Mid-Term

 Teacher Appreciation Week (emphasis added)

Next week is teacher appreciation week - Thanks to all our awesome teachers for what you do to help students achieve high levels of learning here at SFJHS. You really do make a difference for kids every day!

 SFJHS Night at Zupas

Spanish Fork Jr. High’s Café Zupas School Night is on Tuesday, April 28th from 5:00 - 9:00 pm - Zupas will donate 20% of each order to SFJHS but only if you let the cashier know you are with our school or take in a flyer for the event when you order. This is a dine-in only offer. 

 Lagoon Information

Information and permission slips regarding this year’s Lagoon Day will be coming home with students on Friday, May 8th. Bus ticket sales will begin on Monday, May 11th and continue until available buses fill up. Bus tickets will cost $15 and entrance tickets to Lagoon are $31. Students will purchase their bus ticket in the front office and will purchase their entrance ticket when they arrive at Lagoon. Please be aware that in order to be eligible to attend Lagoon all outstanding balances for lunch and school fees must be paid as well as have all detentions served.

 Lunch Accounts and Other School Fees and Fines

The school year is quickly winding down and with that we remind parents to make sure that your student’s lunch balance is caught up and kept current.  Also, please make sure any outstanding balances for school fees or fines are taken care of ASAP with Mrs. Hall in the front office.  PLEASE BE AWARE that in order to receive a year book on May 28th and to qualify for Lagoon all outstanding balances owed must be paid in full. Your help in this regard is greatly appreciated. 

 Drivers Education Class Offered at SFHS

To sign up for drivers ed. take your learners permit to the finance office at the high school.  The cost is $100 dollars.  You will be called when the next class begins.  There is a class beginning this month and two classes during the summer. 

 Sage Testing Window Now Open

By way of information to students and parents - SAGE testing is under way and will continue through the end of May. Students will participate in the Language Arts, Math and Science portions of the test. We invite all students to get a good night’s sleep and eat a healthy breakfast so that you can be at your best when showing the academic progress you have made this year.

 Lobos in Action

Two of our 7th grade students have been named as state finalists in this year's “Do The Write Thing Challenge” writing contest hosted by The Utah Board of Juvenile Justice. We want to congratulate Macady Pulham and Gabe Oldham in Mr. Lawrence's classes on this recognition! These two students are at the top of 700 entries from throughout Utah and will attend a luncheon in Salt Lake City later this week with their parents. Way to go Macady and Gabe!
