Simile Study

Submitted by david.thacker on

After reading the short story, "The Lie" by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr., 8th grade English students put their analytical thinking skills to the test.

Using Mrs. Thompson's one-of-a-kind simile generator to express their unique thoughts about lying, her classes produced a collective poem of 70-plus comparisons.

Stop by the North hall to see their creations and to gain some insights about this socially unacceptable no-no. You won't be disappointed, and who knows? It might keep you honest!

Winter Captains Academy

Submitted by david.thacker on

Libby Shaheen, Adam Blake and Alex Koyle were able to attend winter Captains Academy.  They were able to learn about sportsmanship and mental health.

They learned what it means to be a good leader.

We wish them all well in their seasons this winter.  Good Luck!
