Pizza Peril Answer: You have to order 5 pizzas.  If 2 pizzas cost $36, 1 pizza costs $18.  5 x 18 = $90.  You have just enough money - for everyone else's lunch, that is.
Winners: Jack Bayless, Devin Berns, Alyse Bundy, Peyton Christensen, Lacey Gardner, Andrew Gunyan, Brock Johnson, Maddy Johnson, Natalie Kuhni, Morgan Olson, Cassidy Simons, Garrett Small, Matthew Whitaker, and KJ Whiting

The Disappearing Dollar Answer

This mystery is an excellent example of why it is important to read things carefully - in math and in other subjects.  The trick here are the words "plus the $2 tip for the waiter".  Instead of adding the $2 ({plus the $2 tip"), you should subtract it. Think about it.  subtract that $2 and you get $25, which is the amount the restaurant got.  Each friend got $1 and the waiter got $2.

Cells Anyone?

Armed with boxes of sidewalk chalk Mr. Hallam's Biology classes went outside of the school to draw cell structures. This is something that his classes do every year, and it gives his students a large canvas to show off what they have learned.

Running For the Pack—Lobo Cross Country

Submitted by david.thacker on

On September 12, 2014, the Lobo X-County team hopped on a bus and took a trip across the valley race against Diamond Fork, Mt. Nebo, and Mapleton Junior Highs.  A big thank you goes out to Mapleton for hosing this event.

This is a rebuilding year for both the Lobe girls’ and boys’ teams.  Many of our fastest 9th grade runners are racing for Spanish Fork High.  While this might be seen as handicap in leadership, it brings with it the opportunity for more 7th and 8th graders to participate.
