Band Field Trip to BYU

On Tuesday, October 4th, members of the SFJHS band were invited to attend the Rocky Mountain Band Invitational at BYU. They started their trip by observing a  BYU Wind Symphony rehearsal. 8th grader Nathan Whitaker wrote that he "learned that the BYU band would be fun to be a part of. I want to be a part of the BYU band one day". Porter Anderson said he enjoyed listening to the first song the BYU Wind Symphony Rehearsed because it was mysterious and the trumpets sounded cool.

Next, they walked to LaVell Edwards Stadium to cheer on the Spanish Fork High School Marching Dons in their competition. Students enjoyed watching a variety of marching bands compete before loading the bus and heading home! It was a great day!
