Mrs. Webber will be teaching Geography and World Civilizations this year. We asked Mrs. Webber to introduce herself and this is what she had to say:

I am so excited to teach Geography and World Civilizations this year! 9th grade is such an exciting time, and I am looking forward to working with students through this period of their lives. I love social studies, and I personally think it is the most important subject! Geography and world history can help us gain critical thinking skills, respect, and cultural awareness. Practicing how to evaluate and use information are skills that benefit us our entire lives.
Outside of school, I love watching movies, cooking, and baking! My favorite movies are often historically based (unsurprising, I know). 42: The Jackie Robinson Story, The Imitation Game, and Selma are some of my favorites. I have always loved to bake, and I take every opportunity I can to make a sweet treat! I love when my family and friends have birthdays, because it gives me an excuse to make something new. I also love to cook. I really like trying new recipes, but I am not great at following them exactly. I believe in adding ingredients not by following measurements, but by following your heart!
I love geography and history, but the main reason I love teaching is because I love working with students. They bring such a fun, creative energy to the classroom, and I am looking forward to spending the year learning and growing together.
