Last week, Miss Hodson's 8th grade English classes studied inference making, storytelling, and plot using poetry. One of the poems analyzed by the class was Lewis Carroll's "Jabberwocky".

This poem is full of nonsensical words, and students were tasked with interpreting the story based on context clues. After reading the poem several times, students took on characters such as JubJub Birds, Bandersnatches, mome raths, borogoves, slightly toves, and even the Jabberwock itself to dramatically act out the poem.

If you are interested in watching these performances, they have been uploaded to the SFJHS YouTube channel, and can be found at  Miss Hodson and the "Jabberywocky"
