No Shave November
Mr. Carey
Ross Mason

Some of the teachers at Spanish Fork Junior High School are a little less hairy than they usually are. To show support for Mrs. Anderson, an English teacher at Spanish Fork Junior who is battling cancer, several teachers agreed to shave off their beloved facial hair at the beginning of November. Others are taking a different approach by allowing their beards to grow out as long it can get by the end of November and then shaving it off.

Mrs. Anderson said that she is grateful “for people being willing to shave their head or shave their beard! What sacrifice!”

Mrs. Anderson also said: “The big banner I'm waving is about yearly mammograms. If you're a woman over 40, or if you have family history, please, please get those mammograms. Please encourage any woman you love to get their mammograms. If I would have waited a year, I would have been stage 4 instead of stage 3. Last year's mammogram was clean, this year's was a hot mess. So it literally saved my life. Please encourage your wives, sisters, mothers, and any woman you love to make a call.”
