Saia Naulu

The Nebo School Board of Education appointed Mr. Saia Naulu as the Assistant Principal of Spanish Fork Junior High for Nebo School District.

Mr. Naulu received his bachelor’s degree with a major in Physical Education and minor in Biology from the University of Utah and his master’s degree in Educational Administration from Southern Utah University.

Mr. Naulu served as the Dean of Students at Nebo’s Valley View Middle School during its first three years of operation. He taught biology at Mapleton Junior High for the previous five years.

When asked about his educational philosophy, Saia said, “My philosophy of Education is simple, elevate those around you. The best way to do so is to Listen, Learn and Love. If you can do these three things, you can be a source for good in the life of anyone.”

A colleague said, “I’ve been impressed with Saia’s love of students and his demeanor as he interacts with students. He wants what is best for students and has a talent for helping students through tough situations. Saia helps students learn to manage their own behavior. He is willing to take on new responsibilities, be a team player, and can be depended upon. Saia is an impressive administrative team member.”

One of his favorite quotes is in A League of Their Own, “It’s supposed to be hard. If it wasn’t hard, everyone would do it. The hard is what makes it great.”

Saia enjoys spending time with his wife, Mikell, and three children. He loves all sports, especially basketball and football. “GO UTES!”
